Ghanaian players abroad again hit top form for their clubs over the weekend, with some of them scoring important goals.
Here is a wrap of the key performers.
Thomas Partey scored his third Premier League goal of the season as Arsenal thrashed Man City 5-1 at the Emirates to keep the pressure on Liverpool in the title raise.
The game marked the 31-year-old’s 150th appearance for the Gunners, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in those games.
Forward Antoine Semenyo featured for Bournemouth as Liverpool ended their 12-game unbeaten run across all competitions with a 2-0 win.
Kamaldeen Sulemana came off the bench to help Southampton win their first Premier League game in 14 matches after Onuachu scored from a rebound of his shot to give the Saints a 2-1 win over Ipswich.
In the Championship, Brandon-Thomas Asante scored an outrageous goal for Coventry City against Swansea to secure Frank Lampard’s team a 2-0 win where he also assisted the opener.
Asante now has 3 goals and one assist in his last four games.
In Spain, defender Abdul Mumin again starred for Rayo Vallecano in a 1-0 win over Leganes as they stretched their unbeaten run in LaLiga to eight matches.
Andre Ayew scored three minutes after coming off the bench to earn Le Havre a 1-1 draw away at Angers in the French Ligue 1.
The 35-year-old has three goals in his last five games.
Still in France, Mohammed Salisu’s Monaco beat AJ Auxerre 4-2. Elisha Owusu provided an assist for Auxerre while compatriot Gideon Mensah also featured for the losing side.
Baba Rahman scored his fifth league goal for PAOK as they suffered a 2-1 loss to AEK Athens in the Greek Super League.
