DCOP Lydia Donkor has vowed to ensure "standardized" procedures going forward to clamp down on hooliganism at match venues.
Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Frimpong, popularly known as "Pooley," was stabbed to death during the Porcupines' clash with Nsoatreman in Nsoatre in Week 19 of Ghana’s top-flight league.
The fatal incident led to the suspension of the division as the Ghana FA met with the 18 Premier League clubs to discuss measures to curb such acts.
Kotoko have also withdrawn from the competition "until justice is served."
""We are looking into all of these things[concerns at various stadia] and hopefull going forward, things are going to be more standardized," DCOP Lydia, who is the chairperson of the security committee of the GFA told JoySports.
"In our football space, we do not have stewards being a standard form of security, adding to what the Police is doing.
"We are looking at that, encouraging clubs and all of the people involved in football to start formalizing and looking at the issue of stewards so that those numbers complement with what the police provide."
The resumption date for the Premier League is yet to be communicated by the country’s football governing body.
Meanwhile, six arrests have been made, including Nsoatreman FC bankroller Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, following Pooley’s death.
The former Employment and Labour Relations Minister has been placed under a movement restriction order by District Court “B” in Sunyani.
