Clubs will not be allowed to host home matches at their respective venues if they fail to "appoint Club Safety and Security Officer", says the Ghana Football Association.
The laxity of security has been questioned following the death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong Pooley who was stabbed in the Porcupines' Premier League week 19 clash against Nsoatreman in Nsoatre.
The fatal incident has led to the suspension of the league indefinitely as the FA hopes to put measures in place to clamp down on hooliganism.
"Each Club shall appoint a Club Safety and Security Officer (CSSO) to be responsible for their club’s safety and security matters on matchdays," GFA said in a statement released.
"Clubs who haven’t yet appointed the above Role and submitted the individual for training shall not be allowed to honour their matches in their home venues."
The date for the resumption of the league is yet to be communicated.
Meanwhile, seven arrests have been made, including Nsoatreman FC bankroller Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, following Pooley’s death.
