Ghana concluded their UEFA U-16 Development Tournament in great style following a commanding win over Latvia.
The Black Damsels displayed their attacking prowess and teamwork as they hammered their opponents 7-1 in their final game.
The opening goal came from Seidatu Wahab, who displayed excellent composure in front of goal to put Ghana ahead. Wahab wasn’t done yet, as she doubled her tally shortly after, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Latvia to make it 2-0.
Daniella Abass, who added her name to the scoresheet with a well-taken finish, grabbed Ghana's third of the game to give the Black Damsels a 3-0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw no let-up from Ghana as they continued to dominate proceedings. Christiana Ashiaku emerged as a key figure, scoring two quick goals to extend Ghana’s lead to 5-0.
Wahab completed her hat-trick with another well-taken goal. The scoring was rounded off by Mavis Koah, who added the seventh goal with a composed finish, capping off a brilliant team performance.
Latvia managed to pull one back late in the game, but it was little more than a consolation as Ghana’s defense remained largely untroubled throughout the match.
With a 7-1 win, the Black Damsels won all three of their games in the tournament, scoring 20 goals and conceding just two.
