Ghanaian musical artiste Mahnny has shared a harrowing experience from a car accident that left him severely injured.
In a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty he recounted the night of the accident.
"When we got there the traffic lights was jamming. And I looked, he looked, everywhere was clean so when we were about to cross, there was a car that was coming from 'Kwashieman' that we didn’t know. His break failed,he had no lights, then it hit into the car, where I was sitting, the front side," he said.
Mahnny revealed the extent of his injuries, "So I had nine broken ribs, two punched locks and my shoulder also came out. I went to coma for two days."
He therefore pleaded with the government to repair all malfunctioning traffic lights in town.
"I would also say this to the Ghana government to be able to also take care of our traffic lights at night. They should still work, it shouldn’t be jamming, please I am pleading because a lot of people are dying and I feel they got to make sure our traffic lights everything is going to work," Mahnny urged.
Despite the traumatic experience, Mahnny has bounced back with a new song titled 'Adom', produced by Awaaga and featuring CJ.
Mahnny's plea to the Ghanaian government to fix traffic lights at night is a timely reminder of the importance of road safety.
