Three people are in critical condition after an articulator truck crashed head-on with a Jeep 4x4 vehicle on the Berekum-Sampa road in the Bono Region.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that the victims, yet to be identified, are receiving treatment at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.
The crash occurred between 1900 and 2000 hours, when the driver of the articulator truck, with registration number BA 1818-15, loaded with cashew nuts and traveling to Sampa, attempted to maneuver around a faulty tipper truck parked in the middle of the road.

In the process, the truck collided head-on with a Land Rover vehicle, with registration number GR 9547-14, which was coming from the opposite direction, Abdul Rahman Fuseini, the truck driver’s mate, told the GNA.
Mr. Joseph Nkrumah, the Berekum branch secretary of the Cargo Union under the Progressive Transport Owners Association of Ghana, told the GNA that the road had since been cleared to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
