Golden Kick has secured their place in the semifinals of the 2024/ 2025 MTN FA Cup after a hard-fought victory over Karela United, winning 5-3 on penalties.0
The game started with Karela United showing early attacking intent, as Fataw Mohammed delivered a dangerous cross into the Golden Kick box in the fourth minute, only for the defense to clear the threat.
Ismeal Dede later attempted a long-range effort in the 12th minute, but his shot went wide.
Karela continued to press for an opener, with Eric Wiafe creating space inside the box in the 20th minute, but Golden Kicks’ defense stood firm.
Wiafe had another opportunity in the 28th minute after receiving a well-placed pass from Fataw Mohammed, but his hesitation allowed the defense to recover.
Golden Kick grew into the game as halftime approached, pushing men forward, but Karela’s Gariba Faisal was quick to clear the danger
