Accra Lions bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bechem United in a matchday 27 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, April 27, 2025.
The hosts got off to a bright start, creating decent chances early on, with Salman Faris and Lucky Nwafor coming close.
Midway through the first half, Fuzy Taylor saw his long-range effort deflected for a corner, before Edmond Amakye misfired inside the box from the resulting set-piece.
Bechem United’s Ebenezer Abban and Boa-At Regain also came close to scoring but failed to convert their chances, leaving the first half goalless.
After the break, Lions made their early pressure count, with Awoute finishing off a cross from Edmond Amakye to open the scoring.

Substitute Bernard Kesse doubled the lead for the hosts in the 77th minute, capping off a brilliant team move to strengthen their advantage.
Accra Lions held firm to secure all three points, boosting their chances of avoiding relegation. The win lifts them to 14th on the table with 32 points, three points above the drop zone.
Bechem United, meanwhile, drop to 8th with 40 points, thirteen points behind the leaders.
