The New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2024 Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed hope that the party stands a good chance of winning the 2028 elections if they correct their wrongs and stay united.
Dr. Bawumia was addressing NPP grassroots and supporters in Goaso, in the Ahafo Region, on the third day of his nationwide Thank You Tour.
He is being accompanied by the NPP national executives and some of his fellow contenders in the party’s 2024 presidential primary.
According to him, the NPP government under former president Akufo-Addo implemented several policies and interventions to benefit the Ghanaian people.

He, however, admitted that anger among many Ghanaians over certain government decisions led to the good policies going unrecognised.
He pointed out that Ghanaians voiced similar sentiments when the Kufuor administration left office, but after the NDC took over, they came to appreciate that Kufuor had good intentions for the country.
The former Vice President, therefore, believes that Akufo-Addo will also be remembered the same way.
He said that the NPP still has the track record as the party with many social-centered policies and that with unity and learning from their previous mistakes, they can stage a strong comeback in 2028.
