Ghana head coach Desmond Ofei has attributed the victory over Senegal to the tactical instructions implemented by his players.
The Black Satellites secured a 1-0 win over the defending champions on Monday night, boosting their chances of progressing to the next round.
"It was a very difficult game, no doubt about that but tactically, I believe we got it right,” Ofei said
"Senegal came at us with a very direct and physical approach. It wasn’t easy, but our players showed great tactical discipline and fighting spirit throughout the game."
"The boys followed the game plan, stayed organized, and gave everything on the pitch. That’s all you can ask for as a coach."
The Satellites are now joint-level at the top of Group C with four points ahead of their final group game against Central African Republic.
"Our main goal is to qualify for the World Cup, that’s the focus.
“Each match and positive result take us a step closer,” Ofei added.
Ghana's last participation at the U-20 World Cup was the 2015 edition in New Zealand.
