Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has expressed firm confidence in Dr Bryan Acheampong as the ideal figure to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the future.
Dr Acheampong, the MP for Abetifi and former Minister for Food and Agriculture, was described by Appiah-Kubi as a “symbol of victory.”
In a video shared on social media on Sunday, 25 May, Mr Appiah-Kubi told journalists that the NPP must present a candidate capable of revitalising the party and leading it to electoral success.
“Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission,” he said.
The former MP went on to highlight Dr Acheampong’s intellectual credentials and business acumen, arguing that these qualities make him well-suited for leadership.
“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he remarked.
