Twenty Senior High Schools in the Ashanti Region are set to battle it out in the journey of who becomes champion of the 2025 Luv FM High School Debate.
The seventh edition of the annual debate competition launched at the Christian Service University is a highly anticipated show for all Senior High Schools in the Ashanti Region.

The debate is set to commence on Monday, June 9, 2025, where all qualified senior high schools are expected to display their oratory and communication skills on a variety of topical national issues, all under strict judging criteria, focused on argument clarity, presentation skills, and teamwork.
Over a hundred Senior High Schools in the region competed for the preliminary stages, categorised in zones, and only 20 of the schools made the final cut.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, General Manager at the Kumasi Unit of the Multimedia Group, Jimmy Aglah, hinted at plans to expand the scope of the Luv FM High School Debate beyond the region.
“It is not our intention to restrict this debate to the Ashanti region, and that it’s our dream that eventually we will move the frontiers of this debate outside Ashanti region, and across the country and hopefully across the sub-region, this is a a dream that the Multimedia leadership has assured and we are hoping to get there,” he expressed.

Chairman of the debate competition and Principal of Jackson University College, Theodosia Jackson, encouraged students and applauded Luv FM's commitment to contributing to the education landscape.
“Every institution has the chance to win so be bold and confident. We are so grateful to Luv Fm for this high schools debate. Indeed this debate has brought unity among students and the debating clubs in schools,” he said.

The debate, powered by LUV 99.5 FM, has, over the years, built a reputation for nurturing critical thinking, public speaking, and civic awareness among senior high school students.
The Luv FM High Schools Debate will air live on the Joy Learning Platform on MultiTV, Luv FM and social media platforms.
