The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged three Nations FC players for misconduct during their Ghana Premier League match against Basake Holy Stars.
The players, Rabin Ousman Sanon, Kofi Mensah, and Emmanuel Annor, are accused of breaching Article 12(1)(i) of the GFA Disciplinary Code (2019) and Article 34(6)(d) of the Premier League Regulations (2019). Their actions during the controversial fixture have drawn serious disciplinary attention.
The incident occurred during a heated encounter, which Nations FC abandoned in the first half while trailing 1-0, shortly after conceding a second penalty. The club cited concerns over safety and security as the reason for walking off the pitch.
According to the GFA, Rabin Sanon and Kofi Mensah allegedly assaulted match officials, while Kofi Mensah and Emmanuel Annor are said to have caused damage to parts of the tunnel and the dressing room gate at the Ampain A.A.K II Park.
The players have until Friday, June 13, 2025, to respond to the charges.
