Nineteen suspects have been arrested in a police operation targeting illicit drug trade and robbery activities at the Kasoa Dominase enclave and Onion Market in the Central Region.
The Central East Regional Police Command, in a statement, said the special operation was carried out on Wednesday, June 12, 2025, as part of a broader effort to clamp down on growing criminal activity in the area.

The suspects arrested include Abubakari Ibrahim, Mohammed Awal, Shafiu Salisu, Hamza Amadu, Ali Adamu, Balhani Fuseini, Jamal Haruna, Zakari Abdulai, Abdul Aziz, Bera Kalidu, Moro Baki, Anthony Lucky, Razak Yussif, Sumani Issah, Sulley Mohammed, Abdul Salifu, Eliasu Bukari, Kamelo Muuk, and Osumanu Amadu.
Exhibits retrieved during the operation include large quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp and a range of controlled pharmaceutical drugs, including Tramadol and Red.

All 19 suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations. Authorities say they will be put before court in due course.
The Regional Command commended the personnel who carried out the raid and urged them to remain resolute in the fight against crime.
The Command also called on the public to support law enforcement by providing timely and relevant information that can assist in the fight against drug trafficking, substance abuse, and robbery in the region.
