Asante Kotoko will participate in next season’s CAF Champions League following their FA Cup triumph.
The Porcupines secured a 2-1 victory over Golden Kick in the final at the University of Ghana Stadium to claim their 10th FA Cup title.
It marks a return to CAF inter-club competition for the first time since 2022, when they featured in the Champions League but failed to reach the group stage.
Head Coach Karim Zito has now won his second FA Cup, having previously led Dreams FC to the trophy in 2023.
He also guided Dreams FC to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup during their maiden campaign.
Although he was appointed on an interim basis before becoming Kotoko’s technical director, it remains unclear whether he will be given the head coaching role permanently.
