The Abetifi MP, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has advised the party faithful to leave behind their past differences and forge ahead for victory in 2028.
Mr Acheampong, who aspires to become a New Patriotic Party Presidential candidate, took the stage at the NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus Conference in Kumasi to outline his game plan for the NPP primaries.
His message, which was copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Sunday, sought to unite the party and win power.
“I’m not here to test the waters. I’m here for power,” he added
According to the statement, his words struck a chord, setting the tone for a campaign that would be focused on serious purpose and big results.
Dr. Acheampong reminded the crowd of his steady commitment to the NPP over the years, highlighting his rise from a grassroots canvasser to MP and then Minister.
According to him, his actions showed he was ready to lead—and ready to bring the party back to victory in 2028.
The statement said the chairmen stood, clapped, and showed their support.
“The excitement wasn’t just about a candidate—it was about the future of the party”.
As one chairman put it, “This is not just about Bryan. It’s about building strength together as a party.
“The 2028 race may be ahead, but in Kumasi, the movement has already started”, it concluded.
