Hundreds of residents in the Volta Region, including students from various senior high schools in the regional capital, attended the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving ceremony in Ho on Tuesday, 1st July.

The event, organised under the auspices of the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, brought together people from diverse backgrounds to the Jubilee Park for the Region's maiden celebration.

It was held under the theme “Reflect, Reset, and Renewal for National Prosperity.”

People of various faiths and communities gathered in a powerful show of unity and reverence, offering thanks to God and praying for continued peace, development, and divine guidance for Ghana.

In his address, Mr. Gunu underscored the importance of pairing prayer with action. He charged the public to let their gratitude reflect in their service to others, commitment to peace, and compassion towards one another.

As part of the day’s activities, the minister also visited the Muslim community to share in the spirit of gratitude and unity, further affirming the inclusive nature of the observance.

Mr. Gunu described the experience as deeply moving, noting that the shared spirit of reflection and purpose would continue to inspire a stronger, more united Volta Region and a better Ghana.
