The Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) contingent will represent Ghana in the 2025 International University Sports Federation (FISU) Games, which will be held in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, from July 16 to 28.
FISU is the global governing body for university sports, and it is responsible for organising and overseeing international sporting competitions for student-athletes.
The international multi-sport event would see student-athletes from the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the University of Cape Coast, the University of Education, Winneba, the University of Development Studies, and the University of Energy and Natural Resources competing in track and field events.
A statement released by the GUSA Public Relations Team said they were excited to be part of the upcoming FISU Games, and student-athletes are determined to make Ghana proud.
"We are pleased to share this exciting news about the GUSA Team, who have committed themselves to hard work to come onto the world stage. "They are expected to keep up the commitment and resilience to win medals. We extend our best wishes to the team," the statement said.
