The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released detailed guidelines and a timetable for its upcoming parliamentary primaries in the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region.
According to a statement signed by the party's General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, on Friday, July 25, nomination forms will be available for collection at the Eastern Regional Office beginning Monday, July 28.
The statement said that completed forms must be returned to the same office after filing.
It said prospective candidates will receive the delegates' list only after verifying that the approved filing fee has been deposited into the party’s official account.
The party further announced a 50 per cent reduction in the filing fee for female aspirants and persons living with disabilities.
"No cheques or bankers’ drafts will be accepted. All payments must be made into the official Party
account," the party said.
The filing of completed nomination forms is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, with vetting of aspirants and elections to follow on Thursday, July 31, and Monday, August 4, respectively.
The party emphasised the importance of adhering to all outlined procedures and conducting campaign activities with decorum, unity, and fairness.
