French Ligue 2 club Saint-Étienne have announced the signing of Ghana international Ebenezer Annan.
The 22-year-old left-back has joined on a three-year deal through to 2028 from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
Last season, Annan featured in 29 league matches for OFK Beograd and Red Star, ending the campaign with the latter, where he won the Serbian league title.
In total, he played 38 games across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing seven assists.
Annan is expected to strengthen Saint-Étienne’s squad as they push for a return to the French top flight in the upcoming season.
Speaking after the announcement, the former Bologna man said: “I’m very happy to sign for AS Saint-Étienne.
"The club is building a strong team with a great staff and massive support from its fans. It’s an honour for me to join this club. I’ll give my all in every match to help the team achieve its goals.”
Annan moved to Italy at a young age, joining Bologna’s U19 side. He later played for Imolese on loan, then moved to Novi Pazar before signing for Red Star Belgrade.
At Saint-Étienne, he will line up alongside compatriot Augustine Boakye.
