The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, has called on the nation to find strength in faith as it mourns the tragic loss in the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of the eight public officials at Adansi Brofoyedru near Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region.
Addressing the gathering at the residence of the late Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Speaker Bagbin called on the nation to reflect deeply and take spiritual prophecies and divine signs more seriously.
“Please, once again, let us in this grief not forget about the power of the Almighty God,” he said.
“All works for our good. I will continue to thank Him for giving us these precious lives, for the service they rendered to us. And we pray He finds a good place in Jannah for them to stay.”
The eight victims of the helicopter crash include: Flight Officer Twum Ampadu, Squadron Leader Peter Anala, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

Others are Samuel Aboagye, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Obuasi East and Deputy Coordinator for National Disaster Management Organisation; Samuel Sarpong, National Vice Chairman of the NDC and Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.
The rest are Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, and Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology, and my friend and confidant, advisor, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence.
