President John Mahama has announced the creation of a dedicated fund to support the children of the eight persons who perished in the 6th August helicopter crash.
According to President Mahama, the fund will be officially launched on Friday, 15th August, during the state funeral for all eight victims of the crash.
Speaking at the funeral rites of the late Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, the president underscored the importance of safeguarding the welfare of the victims’ primary dependents, including the two-month-old baby of pilot Peter Bafemi.
He emphasised that the fund would help shield the children from the financial and emotional hardships brought about by their tragic loss.
