Joy FM’s Ignition host, aKorfa, has set off on an exciting journey with listener Mark Akpablah for the much-anticipated Escape to Asia with aKorfa tour, in partnership with Adansi Travels.
The pair departed Ghana on Wednesday 13th August 2025 for an all-expenses-paid trip covering Malaysia and Doha, Qatar.
The promotion, part of Joy FM’s 30th anniversary celebrations, ran for months and saw listeners compete in various on-air challenges. Mark emerged winner after progressing through several rounds of quizzes, travel trivia and listener engagement activities.
The 12-day tour, which runs until Sunday 24th August 2025, promises to immerse the travellers in diverse cultures, cuisines and landscapes.
Malaysia, one of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant destinations, will treat them to world-famous attractions such as the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the Batu Caves, and the idyllic beaches of Langkawi. The bustling street food scenes and colourful night markets are also expected to be highlights of their stay.

In Doha, the Qatari capital known for its modern skyline and deep-rooted traditions, the itinerary may feature visits to the Museum of Islamic Art, the Souq Waqif marketplace, and the futuristic architecture of The Pearl-Qatar. The city’s mix of desert scenery and luxury urban living makes it a unique stop on the tour.
The Escape to Asia with aKorfa initiative reflects Joy FM’s continued commitment to engaging its audience through innovative experiences that combine entertainment with global exposure.
