The police have arrested a resident of Sekondi in the Western Region on suspicion of murdering his younger brother, named Francis Mensah, aged 17.
Anthony Acquah was picked up by police personnel from the Kwesimintsim District Command on August 20, 2025, from a hideout.
The incident is said to have happened on August 16 at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.
According to a police statement, the suspect, Acquah, went into hiding after the incident and was arrested four days later from his hideout at Kojokrom near Sekondi, following an intelligence-led operation.
The police indicated that preliminary investigation has revealed that on August 16, around 6 p.m., a misunderstanding ensued between Acquah and his younger brother, Mensah, during which he allegedly stabbed him to death.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident and went into hiding until his arrest four days later.
Acquah is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
