Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has underscored the urgent need for government to prioritise the resourcing of the Ghana Armed Forces and other security agencies as a matter of national security.
In a post shared on social media on Wednesday, September 10, Rev. Fordjour revealed that he joined fellow committee members and military generals at the ongoing Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 in London.
The high-level event brought together global leaders and industry experts to discuss innovative partnerships and technological advancements in the defence and security sector.

The Assin South MP noted that Ghana’s Armed Forces had been projected at the forum as a formidable institution with a strong international reputation.
He added that engagements centred on identifying and securing critical assets needed for the retooling of the military to meet evolving security challenges.

Rev. Fordjour stressed that adequate investment in the military and security agencies was indispensable in safeguarding the country’s peace and stability.
“Government must consider resourcing military and security agencies as a National Security priority,” he emphasised.
