Ten people sustained serious injuries following a road accident involving three vehicles at Gomoa Akotsi Junction on the Kasoa–Winneba Highway in the Central Region.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when a water tanker (GR 5961-23) travelling from Gomoa Akramang towards Gomoa Ojobi experienced brake failure while descending a slope.

The tanker first collided with a Nissan passenger car (GW 5148-12) conveying commuters from Winneba to Kasoa, before smashing into a sachet water truck (GB 2974-22). The impact caused the tanker to somersault.
Residents at the scene told Adom News that all injured victims were rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for emergency treatment.
Police have visited the scene, and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
