A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Newmont and the Ministry of Roads and Highways, and the contractor has begun mobilisation to commence work on the road.
Newmont has been particularly focused on infrastructure development over the years, in addition to its health, education, and other development-focused investments.
In the Ahafo area, the company has funded and committed to the rehabilitation of major roads, including the Ntotroso-Kenyasi road, the Hwediem-Kenyasi road, and internal roads within the Ntotroso, Wamahinso, Gyedu, Kenyasi No.1 and Kenyasi No.2 communities.
