The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has revealed fresh evidence of financial misconduct involving the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company, Abdul-Wahab Hannan.
The new findings were disclosed as part of the Government Accountability Series, an initiative launched by the Presidential Communications Directorate to update the public on ongoing anti-corruption efforts.
Dr. Ayine stated that investigators have uncovered a sophisticated money-laundering operation involving suspicious transfers amounting to over GHS 40.5 million through Sawtina Enterprise, a company allegedly linked to the former CEO.

According to him, the funds were moved to multiple individuals and entities under questionable circumstances, suggesting a deliberate effort to obscure the source and movement of illicit proceeds.
The Attorney-General described the transactions as a clear case of financial impropriety and abuse of office, adding that the findings strengthen the government’s resolve to recover misappropriated public funds and hold those responsible accountable.
Further details of the investigation, Dr. Ayine indicated, will be made public as the case progresses through the appropriate legal processes.
