American rapper Nicki Minaj has expressed concern over the persecution of Christians globally, describing it as dangerous for the world to ignore ongoing acts of religious violence.
This is even as the rapper commended US President Donald Trump and his team for designating Nigeria as a country of particular concern over religious freedom violations.
Minaj, in a post on X on Saturday, said she felt a deep sense of gratitude for living in a country where people can freely worship God, stressing that no group should ever be targeted for their faith.
She noted that several countries around the world are facing religious persecution and urged people not to turn a blind eye to such injustices.
She wrote: “Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.
“No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.
“Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.
“Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”
