Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has hinted at what could be one of the most consequential weeks for the Mahama administration.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, November 9, he outlined a packed national agenda touching security, governance, development, and economic policy.
According to him, events begin on Monday when the report of the August 6 helicopter tragedy investigation will be presented to the National Security Council.
The tragic incident, which claimed lives and drew public concern, has been the subject of intense scrutiny, and the presentation of the findings is expected to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Kwakye Ofosu added that on Tuesday, the government will make the report’s details public during a media briefing, signalling a commitment to transparency on a matter of deep national interest.
The focus will then shift to Wednesday, when President John Mahama launches the “Nkoko Nkitinkiti” programme in Kumasi — a new government initiative whose name alone has already stirred public curiosity and excitement.
The week will climax on Thursday with the presentation of the 2026 Budget to Parliament by the Finance Minister.
Mr Kwakye Ofosu described the upcoming budget as one that “brims with far-reaching policy initiatives,” setting expectations for major reforms and ambitious fiscal direction as the country prepares for another year of economic recovery and growth.
