The First Lady, Lordina Mahama, has advocated for community support for persons living with HIV and to end mother-to-child transmission of the virus.
Speaking at an integrated medical outreach in Sunyani in the Bono Region, which reports the highest HIV prevalence rate in Ghana, the First Lady underscored the importance of education for pregnant women towards a safe delivery process.

She noted that this will help to safeguard mothers and children from HIV, building on her call for community involvement.
