The National Service Authority (NSA) has refuted claims that some prospective national service personnel are being asked to pay for ‘special postings’ to preferred institutions.
In a statement released by the Authority, it stressed that no such payment system exists, describing the emerging reports as both misleading and fraudulent.
According to the NSA, it does not charge any individual for postings or repostings, nor does it offer preferential placement in exchange for money.
All deployments, it noted, are carried out through a fully automated, transparent, and merit-based system, strictly aligned with national service regulations.
“Any individual or entity soliciting fees for postings is acting fraudulently and should be reported immediately to the security agencies,” the Authority cautioned.
The NSA reiterated its commitment to ensuring fairness and integrity across all aspects of the posting process, assuring the public that no backdoor arrangements or special treatments are sanctioned under any circumstances.
In addressing the broader registration process, the Authority highlighted a number of support interventions it implemented to ease documentation and verification challenges faced by some prospective personnel.
To assist individuals with discrepancies in personal information such as name changes or date-of-birth amendments the NSA collaborated with the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company to set up a dedicated help desk at the NSA headquarters.
This initiative enabled swift correction of identity-related issues prior to registration. The Authority also successfully negotiated a reduction in Gazette service charges, easing the financial burden on applicants requiring gazette services.
As part of efforts to modernise and accelerate the documentation process, the NSA partnered with the Ghana Publishing Company to introduce a digital gazette system.

The newly created e-gazette platform, accessible online via:
- egazetteghana.com, and
- ghanapublishing.gov.gh,
provides personnel with a quicker and more efficient avenue for resolving gazette-related requirements.
To further streamline operations, the NSA has established specialised support desks across all Regional Offices, as well as a dedicated IT Desk at the NSA Headquarters.
These desks, the Authority noted explained that it became operational on Monday, 8th December 2025, and will continue offering assistance until the registration deadline on Friday, 12th December 2025.
While regional offices will accept walk-ins, the head office will operate through an appointment system to minimise waiting times and ensure efficient service delivery.
Affected personnel are required to book time slots via the official support phone lines or through a designated Google form.
Prospective service personnel with outstanding issues may contact the NSA Call Centre using the following helplines:
- 0554404422
- 0554400078
- 0554400069
They may also complete the Google form to reserve a session. Support will be available through both in-person consultations at the NSA headquarters and virtual assistance online.
The Authority expressed appreciation for the cooperation shown by prospective personnel and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and credible national service registration and deployment process.
NSA further urged the public to remain alert and to report any attempts by individuals seeking to exploit the system for illegal financial gain.
