Elegant Homes Estate in Katamanso, Accra, has officially unveiled a state-of-the-art sports complex aimed at enhancing recreational and fitness opportunities for its residents.
The commissioning ceremony took place on December 22, 2025, and was attended by residents and stakeholders of Elegant Homes and General Construction.

Addressing the gathering, CEO Dorothy Quashie highlighted that the sports facility reflects the company’s commitment to modern residential living that goes beyond just housing. “We believe quality living is about more than just shelter. This sports complex has been designed to support wellness, strengthen social ties, and improve the overall living experience of our residents,” she said.
The newly commissioned complex includes a children’s playground, basketball and tennis courts, and a fully equipped gym.
It forms part of a broader infrastructure within the estate, which also features paved roads, solar-powered streetlights, 24-hour security, and covered drainage systems, providing a safe and comfortable living environment.
Ms. Quashie added that the project is intended to foster community interaction, promote healthy lifestyles, and increase the overall value of properties within the estate. Residents welcomed the development, describing it as a timely addition that offers safe and convenient recreational spaces for both children and adults.
The commissioning of the sports complex underscores Elegant Homes’ commitment to building residential communities that prioritise wellness, leisure, and social cohesion, setting a benchmark for modern housing developments in Accra.
