Ghanaian teenage striker Edmund Baidoo is attracting growing interest from some of Europe’s top clubs following his impressive start to the season with RB Salzburg.
In addition to Bayer Leverkusen, the 19-year-old has been linked with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart, as clubs across Europe continue to monitor his rapid development. Stuttgart are understood to have made direct inquiries to gather information on the forward, although a move during the winter window was considered unlikely.
Baidoo has enjoyed a strong start to the Austrian Bundesliga campaign, scoring five goals in 15 appearances, a return that has further heightened interest in his services. Clubs from other major European leagues are also believed to be closely tracking his progress.
RB Salzburg, however, remain in a strong negotiating position. The Ghanaian striker is under contract with the Austrian champions until 2029 and does not have any known release clause, giving the club significant leverage in any potential transfer talks.
Baidoo joined Salzburg from Norwegian side Sogndal in August 2024 for a reported fee of €3.3 million. His rapid rise saw reports emerge in October 2025 of a €6 million offer from Borussia Dortmund, highlighting how quickly his value has grown.
According to Transfermarkt, Baidoo’s current market value stands at €6 million, with his performances suggesting that figure could rise further if his fine form continues.
