The Ghana Police Service, through its Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has arrested a suspect featured in a viral video assaulting a woman.
The suspect, Christford Affadu Danful, also known as Ekow Black, a TikToker, was arrested on Thursday, January 15, following an intelligence-led operation by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team, after the video circulated widely on social media.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect and the woman, who previously lived together, had a history of disagreements that escalated into verbal confrontations and, ultimately, physical assault.
Danful is currently in lawful custody and is expected to be put before the court to face charges in line with Ghanaian law.
The Ghana Police Service reassured the public of its commitment to protecting lives, enforcing the law, and ensuring that acts of violence are addressed decisively.
