The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released the official guidelines and timetable for its Ayawaso East parliamentary primaries, scheduled to take place in February 2026.
In a notice signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC urged all aspirants and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the timelines outlined in the timetable and to conduct their activities with decorum, decency, unity, and fairness, in line with the party’s commitment to internal democracy.
According to the timetable, nominations for the Ayawaso East parliamentary primaries will open on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 7:00am to 5:00pm at the party’s Regional Office.
Aspirants are required to submit their completed nomination forms on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, within the same time window.
Vetting, balloting and the hearing of any appeals will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, also at the Regional Office.
The parliamentary election itself is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, at a designated venue within the Ayawaso East Constituency.

The party leadership reiterated its call on all aspirants to fully comply with the laid-down guidelines and to uphold the spirit of unity and fairness throughout the process, as the NDC prepares to select its parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
