Two people have died following a motorcycle collision on the Nsuta–Beposo road in the Ashanti Region, with another person currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.
The accident occurred when two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions collided under circumstances yet to be fully established.
Information gathered by Adom News indicates that one of the motorcycles was carrying a rider and a passenger, while the other had only the rider.
The impact proved fatal for two of the occupants, who died instantly at the scene.
The remaining victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby health facility for emergency medical care.
Residents who rushed to the scene described it as distressing and have called for increased caution among road users, particularly motorcyclists who ply the stretch.
Police have since moved in to manage the situation and have begun investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident, while urging riders to observe traffic regulations and prioritise safety on the roads.
