Gyesi Boako declares intent to contest NPP National Treasurer position
Political Marketing Expert, Gyesi Boako, has officially announced his intention to contest the position of National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) when nominations open, citing the need for a strong, transparent and innovative financial system to keep the party competitive.
In a declaration of intent, Mr Boako stressed that no political party can survive without a solid financial foundation, warning that weak financial structures ultimately lead to decline.
“Without doubt, no political party or entity can survive and remain competitive without finance. A political party without a sound financial base will wither and die,” he stated.
He underscored the importance of modern financial management, arguing that the NPP must align its financial operations with global digital trends.
“In the 21st century context, financial integrity calls for an alignment with global digital trends and financial models, with innovation as a key cornerstone,” Mr Boako said, adding that he brings youthful energy anchored in trust, competence and transparency to the role.
Drawing on his years of service within the party, Mr Boako said his experience at the grassroots level positions him well to strengthen the NPP’s financial base.
“I bring real pragmatic experience of our grassroots, the heartbeat and pulse of our party, as well as new, innovative and exciting ideas to put the party on a sound financial footing,” he said, pledging to help return the NPP to power while ensuring accountability and financial integrity across all levels of the party.
