Management of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has undertaken a working visit to Genser Energy’s Gas Conditioning Plant at Prestea to evaluate progress on the facility’s ongoing expansion.
The delegation was headed by GRIDCo’s Chief Executive, Mark Baah, who, alongside senior officials, toured the installation and interacted with engineers to obtain direct insight into its operational growth and technical developments.
During the engagement, the team received detailed briefings on the advancement of the midstream gas conditioning plant.
The facility is expected to process up to 135 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (135 mmscf/d) when fully operational.
The initiative forms part of wider efforts to boost the country’s gas processing capability and strengthen the reliability of fuel supply for electricity generation.
Addressing officials after the inspection, Ing. Baah praised Genser Energy for the steady progress achieved and reiterated GRIDCo’s resolve to deepen cooperation across the energy sector.
He noted that GRIDCo remains committed to fostering strategic partnerships that will reinforce Ghana’s energy value chain and guarantee a stable and sustainable power supply for citizens as well as neighbouring countries.
