The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Law School and Absa Bank hosted the 13th edition of their Quarterly Roundtable on March 18, 2026.

The quarterly event focused on microfinance sector reforms aimed at driving growth and restoring confidence, with the theme "Regulating Microfinance in the Age of Fraud: Restoring Confidence and Growth".
Renowned financial experts, including Dr. Seth Anane from the Bank of Ghana, Ken Thompson, Kwasi Aboagye, and Mr. Adolph Kpega, shared insights on the challenges facing the microfinance sector.
They expressed concerns over current Bank of Ghana policies, which they believe do not promote significant growth in the sector.

The roundtable provided a platform for experts to discuss strategies for regulating microfinance institutions, restoring stakeholder confidence, and fostering sustainable growth in the sector.

The event was attended by the Head of Banking Supervision of the Bank of Ghana, Mr. Ismail Adam; the Executive Secretary of the  Ghana Association of Savings and Loans Companies (GHASALC), Mr. Tweneboah Kodua Boakye; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Future Leaders Group, Dr Emmanuel Dei Tumi; and many others.
