The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested 10 suspected drug offenders during a coordinated intelligence-led operation across several communities in Cape Coast.

The operation, which targeted alleged drug trafficking and abuse hotspots, was carried out in Pedu, Victoria Road, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) area, Downtown, and other strategic locations.

The exercise forms part of NACOC’s ongoing efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and enhance public safety.

According to information gathered, officers conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations, leading to the arrest of the 10 suspects and the retrieval of items believed to be connected to illegal narcotics activities.

The suspects are both male and female ages between 24 to 55years. The seized exhibits are expected to undergo further examination as part of the Commission’s investigations.

NACOC officials indicated that the operation underscores the Commission’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and reducing the availability of illicit substances within communities.

The suspects are expected to assist with ongoing investigations and will be processed in accordance with the law.

The Commission has also encouraged the public to continue providing credible information to support efforts to curb drug-related crimes across the country.
