Some military personnel deployed to Bawku in the Upper East Region have been involved in a road accident at Nkenkesu in the Ashanti Region.
The crash occurred on Sunday, July 26, and involved a military vehicle and an STC bus, according to preliminary information.

Police officers have been deployed to the scene to support rescue efforts, manage traffic and commence preliminary investigations into the incident.
The cause of the crash is yet to be established.

Authorities have also not confirmed the number of casualties or the extent of injuries sustained.
Further details are expected as investigations continue.
