Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo, has bemoaned his side’s disappointing home form during the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
Ghana failed to qualify for the showpiece event with a game to spare, bringing an end to the county’s enviable 20 year consecutive qualifying streak.
Ghana will take on Niger in their final game on Monday, looking for their first win at home in the series, a phenomenon Addo believes is the main reason for the team’s failure.
“The main thing is home form in these qualifiers.
”Sometimes I wish we had played badly and won, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.
”We played well, but sometimes in football you can do everything right but if you don't score you lose,” he said.
Ghana have picked up just a point from a possible 6, in their home games during the qualifying series, and are still yet to score a goal.
