Ghana international, Felix Afena-Gyan, was the star on the night as Cremonese knocked out Napoli from the Coppa Italia on Tuesday evening.
The 19-year-old came off the bench in the 65th minute to score a late equaliser, taking the game to extra time before scoring the eventual winner during the penalty shootout.
Charles Pickel gave Cremonese the lead in the first half before Luciano Spalletti’s side struck twice through Juan Jesus and Giovanni Simeone.
But with three minutes away from full time, Afena-Gyan came off the bench to net the leveller as the game headed into extra time before penalties.
In the shootout, all but Stanislav Lobotka scored their kicks while Cremonese scored all of theirs.
Afena-Gyan took the decisive kick which ensured his side progressed at the expense of Napoli into the quarterfinals.
Since joining the club last summer, the 19-year-old has scored two goals with both coming in the Coppa Italia.
