President Nana Akufo-Addo has emphasised the significance of the newly inaugurated Bank of Ghana (BoG) Headquarters in bolstering the Central Bank’s ability to drive vital financial sector reforms and foster a favourable investment environment.
He made this statement during the commissioning ceremony in Accra on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
The President described the new facility as not only an architectural masterpiece but also a symbol of Ghana’s growing financial strength and stability.
He acknowledged that the new headquarters would play a crucial role in reinforcing the BoG’s capacity to meet the demands of modern financial governance.
President Akufo-Addo further explained that the modernised headquarters would enhance the Central Bank’s ability to implement essential reforms that would elevate the nation’s financial system.
This, he noted, would help attract investment and ensure the country’s economic resilience in an increasingly competitive global market.
The President expressed confidence that the new facility would support the BoG’s efforts in achieving sustainable growth for the country’s financial sector, providing a solid foundation for long-term economic stability.
“The commissioning of the Bank Square today is a testament to the bank’s vision, maturity, and enduring relevance. This architectural masterpiece not only stands as a symbol of financial strength and stability but also reflects Ghana’s commitment to modernising her institutions to meet the demands of a fast-changing world,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
