Despite pressure from Swansea it was Brentford who scored late on to seal the victory, Watkins beating the offside trap and finishing into the bottom corner with just Woodman to beat. Ayew, who is currently enjoying a purple patch scored against Blackburn then got a brace against Middlesbrough before scoring the winner against Luton prior to the Brentford game on Thursday. The 30-year-old has taken his season tally to 11 goals and 4 assists in 26 appearances this season.
