Celta Vigo centre-back, Joseph Aidoo, has been ruled out of Ghana's international friendly against the United States of America because of an ankle injury.
The 28-year-old was taken off with an ankle injury in the 27th minute during Sunday's 2-0 defeat against Mexico and was replaced by Alidu Seidu.
The Ghana Football Association says further tests by team doctors confirmed that Aidoo sustained an ankle tendons injury and "would require immediate treatment to return to action".
Joseph Aidoo is unavailable for selection and will fly back to his club in Spain for further treatment.
The former Inter Allies defender has made 12 appearances for Ghana since making his debut in March 2019.
Ghana is scheduled to play the USA in their second friendly of the October international break on Wednesday at 12:30 A.M after losing to Mexico on Sunday dawn.
