Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has said he wants his colleague, Asake, to perform at his wedding.
He informed Asake of this during their recent appearance on Apple Music radio, alongside DJ Tunez.
Wizkid revealed that ‘Omo Ope’ made him a fan of Asake, but ‘Remember’ is his favourite Asake song, and he would like him to perform it on his wedding day.
The Starboy boss stated that Asake is one of the most talented vocalists in Africa and worldwide.
He added that the ‘Lonely At The Top’ crooner is a blessing to African music.
He said, “‘Omo Ope’ made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is ‘Remember’, I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record.
“You [Asake] are amazing, you have one of the most special voices from home [Africa] and in the world. I have told you that like a million times and I am saying it again on radio. You are a blessing to African music.”
Wizkid is currently in a romantic relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P.
The couple have three children together, two boys and a girl.
The Starboy boss has been teasing his wedding for years.
