Former Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to the Akwatia Constituency to campaign for the NPP parliamentary candidate ahead of Tuesday’s by-election.

Dr Bawumia was in the constituency on Friday for the customary one-week observation of the late NPP MP, Ernest Kumi. Two days later, on Sunday, he returned, this time to embark on groundwork to support the campaign of the party’s candidate.

He began the day with church visits, where he spoke warmly of the NPP candidate to congregants.
As part of his campaign tour of the constituency, Dr Bawumia also called on the Kusiman Hene, Nana Ntiamoah Kusi Boadu, in the company of the candidate.
He further engaged with residents in several communities to rally support for Asumadu.
The former Vice-President urged constituents to vote massively for Asumadu so that he can continue the good works and legacy of their late MP, Ernest Kumi.
