The President of Ghana Bar Association, Brong Ahafo branch, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, has successfully picked up forms to contest the Sunyani East parliamentary seat.
Mr. Tuah-Yeboah is an astute lawyer and leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Since 1996, he has served as; Deputy Regional Secretary (2010-2014), Member of the Legal Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Conflict Resolution Committee, Communications team among others.
Addressing some delegates and party stalwarts after picking the forms, Mr Tuah expressed his profound gratitude to party members who had confidence and encouraged him to contest the primaries.
“Even though the calls to get me to contest this seat started as far back as the previous elections, I was waiting for the appointed time. And I believe the appointed time is now.
“Let me also register that, I am grateful for the demonstration of love and support you have shown me so far. This gives me a lot of confidence that we can start preparing our victory speech for April 25. As most of you said, this primary will be a rescue mission for the NPP in Sunyani East and I promise to work hard to serve you victory in the general elections in December,” he added.
Mr. Tuah also reaffirmed his commitment to run a clean, issue-based campaign devoid of insults and needless propaganda and cautioned all his supporters to do the same to ensure a peaceful election.
